Steve Bork - Director of Tennis

Steve Bork is the Director of Tennis at Courtside Racquet Club in Lebanon, NJ, and serves on the Nike Advisory Staff. Steve has trained under the guidance and tutelage of some of the top teaching professionals in the world as both a student and a coach. Steve’s students have earned college scholarships, and played internationally on the satellite and circuit level of the professional tours. Steve has a degree in early childhood education and is the founder of the Top Dog Tennis Academy and also the co-founder of Tennis Nation.

Steve Bork

Bruce Levine - Courtside General Manager

Bruce Levine is the General Manager of Courtside Racquet Club. Before coming to Courtside; Bruce coached high school tennis at Amity High School, in Woodbridge, CT, where in an 8 year span his record was 131-20 and his team in 2004 won a State Title and in ’05 and ’06 placed second in Connecticut’s LL division. Prior to his time at Amity, he played on the men’s tour and coached on both the men’s and women’s tours and has worked with many nationally ranked junior players. Bruce also is the racquet technical advisor for Tennis Magazine.

Ellen Diehl - Courtside Assistant Manager

Ellen is Courtside’s assistant manager. Usually you can find Ellen in the tennis shop, taking care of our members needs, checking in the newest shop acquisitions and answering the multitude of questions regarding equipment and apparel that Courtside carries. She is an avid tennis player and competes on several USTA teams as well as one Central Jersey league team that play out of the club. Ellen is a great asset to the Courtside team and if you have shop or program questions, Ellen is knowledgeable and well versed in both!

Frank Null

Frank is Courtside’s stringer as well as a teaching professional.  Frank comes from Monterey, California, where he owned a bike shop and played lots of tennis.  Frank’s patient and quiet style along with his knowledge of the game make him an excellent addition to our staff.

Mike Romeo

Mike Romeo is a resident of Lake Hiawatha New Jersey. He comes to Courtside from The Short Hills Club and the South Orange Tennis Club where he taught both tennis and paddle. Mike played his college tennis at Seton Hall, where he played at the number 3, 4 and 5 spots. Mike is the proud father of two daughters, Margo and Charlotte. Mike is a strong teacher and is an excellent addition to Courtside's teaching staff.

 Mike Romeo

Jeffrey Wiedemann

Jeff Wiedemann is a native of Chicago, IL and currently resides in Clinton, NJ. Jeff played his college tennis at Ferris State University in Grand Rapids, MI and went on to play in the ITF Futures and USTA Pro Circuits. Jeff has had the chance to work and train with some top level coaches, trainers, and junior players in the world at Saddlebrook Tennis Academy, located in Tampa, FL. In addition to his own play, Jeff has traveled to top junior tournaments such as, The Eddie Herr and The Orange Bowl with players he has coached. Jeff has been teaching tennis in NJ for past 5 years at The Randolph Tennis Center where he ran some of the club’s women’s teams, competitive junior clinics, and taught private lessons. Jeff is a member of the USPTA as well as a USRSA Master Racquet Technician. He is a member of the Wilson/Luxilon Stringing team, has strung at the Australian Open, US Open, and Sony Ericsson (Key Biscayne, FL) Tournaments

Bobby Weiss

Bobby Weiss comes to Courtside from Easton, Pennsylvania, where he taught and coached for many years. Bobby has worked at several clubs in Eastern PA. before coming to Courtside. During his tenure as a coach, Bobby has worked with both adults and juniors, and has coached adult teams to USTA National titles in both the men’s and women’s divisions. Bobby has also worked as a coach to former touring professional Diana Ospina at the US Open and did “color commentary and match analysis for Services Electric Cable during televised matches. As a player, Bobby earned a ranking of top 20 in the Men’s Open Division of USTA Middle States.
